Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony is the 17th Sheriff of Broward County and the first African American to hold the role. Appointed in 2019 and twice elected, he brings over 20 years of public safety experience. A forward-thinking leader, educator and advocate, Sheriff Dr. Tony is committed to modernizing law enforcement, strengthening community trust and advancing public safety through integrity and innovation.
